At Pilates Movement we offer a modern, athletic approach to classical reformer Pilates. We strive to provide a full-body workout that will challenge your strength and stability, and raise your heart rate.
Studio Protocol:
Kindly arrive no sooner than 5 minutes prior to class to settle in and be ready on your reformer at start time. Lateness is disruptive to class flow and often a safety issue. You will not be allowed to take class after the start time.
All classes are 45 minutes, all Privates are 55 minutes, If you are late to a class/session, the instructor must still end at the originally scheduled time.
If you are on the waitlist, you should expect to attend class. Students will be automatically added into the class up to one hour before the start time of class – check online to confirm if you’ve been placed into class. Reservation adjustments and missed reservation policies will be applied accordingly.
For sanitary reasons, we require everyone to wear socks, ideally non-slip socks. Socks are available for purchase at the studio. To prevent allergic reactions or discomfort among clients please avoid wearing fragrances, fragrant lotions and sunscreens the day you visit the studio. Suitable athletic apparel, without exposed zippers (that could damage the reformers), is recommended.
Students age 15-17 are welcome to attend classes after taking at least one Private session and with the written consent of a parent/guardian.
New to Pilates, Pregnant, Injured:
If you are new to Pilates we suggest you take FLOW class that is designed to be accessible for all levels of Pilates practitioners. We recommend getting to class a bit early and letting your instructor know you are a beginner. They will be happy to provide you with extra attention and modifications throughout your class. If there is something specific you are looking to address and want more one-on-one time, ask us about booking a private session.
If you are pregnant we ask that you please contact the studio first to find out what class, session, program or specific instructor will best suit you. We’re happy to help and will work to find you the best situation.
If you have an injury, please contact the studio first with any questions. With certain injuries, we may recommend starting with a private session to give you personalized attention. Please be sure to share any injuries with your instructor prior to class so we can best modify for your injury. Pilates Movement may decline class entry for injury and other safety concerns.
Memberships + Packages:
A membership is one year commitment to purchase a set number of classes per month (or 30-day period). The annual membership is set up for monthly auto-renewal and is activated on day of purchase. You must use or lose your classes within each 30-day cycle. There is a penalty for early membership cancellation. Clients can purchase a membership at anytime during any month. Members may take any of our scheduled classes, limited to one class per day. Members are allowed to pause their membership, for one billing cycle or more, one time during their annual membership.
A package is a one-time purchase of a set number of classes. When purchasing a package, you will pay a one-time fee. You must use or lose your classes by the one-year expiration date. A package holder may take any of our scheduled classes, limited to one class per day.
